teaching Thomas W. Hutchison received his Ph.D. in Marketing/Mass Communication from Florida State University. His expertise is in the areas of entertainment marketing, consumer behavior, new media marketing, research methods, market research, and distance education. Hutchison is the Director of the School of Business and Management in the College of Business at Husson University and is Executive Director of Academic Affairs for the college. He teaches management, marketing, international business, business strategy, business policy, web marketing for entrepreneurs, and new media. Hutchison also teaches SOA 312, The Business of Music at The New England School of Communications. |
research Hutchison has conducted research on artists for Sony, RCA, MCA/Universal and Giant/WB Records, Geffen Records, DreamWorks, Warner Music Group, MCA, RCA and Polydor including Faith Hill, Toby Keith, Travis Tritt, The Dixie Chicks, Ricochet, Brooks & Dunn, Kenny Chesney, Sons of the Desert, Gillian Welsh, White Zombie, Sonic Youth, The Roots, Rufus Wainwright, Beck...and more. Hutchison has also implemented marketing projects for record labels RCA, EMI Christian, Sony Music Entertainment, Pioneer, Magnatone, Virgin, Sparrow, Compass, Mercury, Provident, Compendia, Universal...and more. |
